in Proud Mommy Moments

It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for another Proud Mommy Moments!

For more info on what PMM is all about, see this post.

Please make sure that if you’re linking up, you’re actually linking a Proud or Not-So-Proud Mommy moment (using the permalink. Not sure what a permalink is? Just ask me). Links not related to PMM will be deleted and deleting links makes me feel bad. Please don’t make me feel bad.

There were quite a few opportunities this past week for me to share a “not-so-proud” moment…like when the kids openly fought at a restaurant while we were waiting for a table, Buddy having to move his clip to red at school and getting a note sent home (and him blaming it on me), and Buster choking on his gum right in the middle of talking to the eye doctor (okay, that last one wasn’t as much embarrassing as it was funny), but I want to share a proud one.

I took Buster to JC Penney to get his 4 year pictures taken on January 1st. If you don’t remember, Buster is pretty notorious for refusing to cooperate during pictures. So much so that I usually get so stressed out that I fight back tears during his photo sessions. I was prepared for another rough session. However, he completely surprised me and was more than cooperative. His pictures turned out great. So great, that when I picked up his pictures last week, the manager complimented me on photos and asked me to sign a photo release so they can use his photos as examples in the studio.

I’m not only proud of Buster’s behavior and the pictures, but I’m so proud of the fact that JCP thinks highly enough of my boy to display him in their studio!

Okay! Now it’s your turn. Type out your Proud, or maybe not-so-Proud Mommy Moment and link it up! Don’t forget to check out Emmy’s Proud Mommy Moment as well! One last thing, PMM isn’t just for mom’s…anyone can link up!

Photo sessions always stressed me out too. I guess that why we haven’t been in over a year:) How cool that they are going to use his pics as a display! I always love going into a place like that and seeing someone I know on the wall.

I haven’t had real professional pictures made with the kids in a long time. In fact, the last time was when Emily was about three months old (she’s now 8!!).

Congrats on your little model! Maybe we’ll see him in future Abercrombie and Fitch ads ;-)
And, yes, I FINALLY linked up today! :-)

Ok, so where are these pictures and why aren’t they in this post?! Hmmmm????? Glad he cooperated so well for you and very cool that they want to put them up on the wall. I always wondered why they didn’t ask to put my kid’s pictures on the wall. Seeing as how they are so stunningly gorgeous and all.

Awesome! I haven’t taken my kids for photos in so long because I hate the way they behave.

That is awesome!!! And yea for good pictures, so so nice to have.

And fighting at restaurants- if we do not establish who gets to sit by daddy before we go in, we are guaranteed to have that fight and well Alex is not a naturally quiet person. Poor mom, no one wants to sit by me.

Hey, at least your pictures turned out great! My daughter accidentally swallowed a cough drop this week. It’s almost as bad as swallowing gum.

Hahaha–love the gum! My son (age 6) still isn’t overly fond of having his picture taken. Though he has gotten a lot better. So cool that JCP wanted to use your son’s pics!

That’s awesome! You have every right to feel proud! One of the reasons I haven’t taken my kids to have their photo professionally taken is because I’m still suffering from PTSD over our last photo session…2 years ago.
