It’s Thursday, which means it’s time for another Proud Mommy Moments!

For more info on what PMM is all about, see this post. Please make sure that if you’re linking up, you’re actually linking a Proud or Not-So-Proud Mommy moment (using the permalink. Not sure what a permalink is? Just ask me). Links not related to PMM will be deleted and deleting links makes me feel bad. Please don’t make me feel bad.

Buster is such a brave boy. For only being 4 years old, he sure has been through a lot in his life.

On December 19th, he had an MRI of his brain. He had to be sedated for that, so I worried about how he would do as he was going under, and once he woke up. I had no reason to worry. Buster did awesome. I was in the room with him when he went under, and he did so very calmly, without any crying. Jdaddy was with him when he woke up, and he did that calmly as well. I was unbelievably proud of him that day, especially since he really didn’t understand what what was happening to him, and why.

On December 26th, we had to take Buster back to the hospital to have an EEG performed. In the past, the EEG’s have been beyond traumatic. It’s been two years since his last EEG, and that was the worst ever. I posted about that experience here. I was prepared for it to be rough again, but was hoping for the best. Once again, I was delightfully surprised. Buster did so good!! There were no tears, no yelling, no freaking out at all. In fact, he basically just chilled on the bed and watched Cars 2 on the iPad while they did the whole set up, as seen in this picture:

As if that wasn’t enough, Buster had his 4 year check up on December 27th, where he got 4 shots. He did awesome, and didn’t even cry. I am beyond proud of my little guy!!

I got the results from Buster’s EEG and MRI last week. His EEG was normal, which is excellent news and his MRI was “improved” from the last one. I’m anxious for his next appointment, in May, so that I can talk to his Neurologist more about the MRI results…but overall, I’m extremely happy, and PROUD.

Okay! Now it’s your turn. Type out your Proud, or maybe not-so-Proud Mommy Moment and link it up! Don’t forget to check out Emmy’s Proud Mommy Moment as well! One last thing, PMM isn’t just for mom’s…anyone can link up!

You should be proud! That’s a lot for anyone to go through, especially a kid.

One of the worst feelings is to watch our kids struggling to go through medical procedures an not being able to do anything about it.

Bless his heart. I hate having to have big things done to my kids, all of them. I am a basket case. He is growing up so fast..

I’m so glad that he didn’t have any problems this time. I’m sure as he gets older it isn’t as scary as it was when he was younger. Bud has his shots in a few months and I’m dreading it. Dreading.

Yay!! That’s awesome that he did so well! Medical procedures are so difficult, esp when your kids are so young! You have every reason to feel proud!

What a brave little man. I know those tests are hard on you, too. John had all sorts of them as a baby and I remember.
