Today is a very special day in our house.
My current baby, Buster, turns 5 today. I honestly cannot believe that he’s already 5 years old. It seems like it was just yesterday that Jdaddy and I were making the very early morning drive to the hospital, preparing to meet our little (big) boy.
Buster surprised everyone when he was born at 8 lbs. 11 oz. and 21 inches long. Buddy was only 6 lbs. 10 oz. and 19 inches. I still joke that the first time I held Buster, I felt like I was holding a 3 month old because he was so much bigger than Buddy.
Big or little, Buster is one of the sweetest little boys I know. He’s also one of the funniest. He has a truly awesome personality.
On Saturday, we celebrated Buster’s birthday with close friends and family at a local restaurant. I haven’t blogged about this at all, because the party was also a surprise graduation party for Jdaddy. While I felt a little bit bad for combining the parties and making Buster share the limelight, he honestly had no idea that the party was for Jdaddy as well.
The party was a huge success. Buster had an amazing time and was spoiled with gifts, and Jdaddy was definitely surprised.
Here are a few pictures from the night.
The two guests of honor:
My boys (and also my new favorite picture ever):
The cake, which was an odd choice for Buster. We don’t exactly follow Nascar.
This picture was taken before we even started singing. Someone was a little anxious to get on with the party. When asked if he’d like a piece of cake, he responded, “No, I’m just here for the party.” See?? He’s FUNNY.
A couple pictures with his gifts:
And finally, the obligatory “bow on the head” picture. Isn’t he handsome?
Normally I’d include the annual photo show at the bottom of a post like this, only, this year, I’m a little behind and it’s not done. Hopefully it will be done soon and I can share it before the new year.

What a cutie! I had to laugh at your we don’t exactly follow Nascar joke…my boys would totally love that cake too even though we don’t follow Nascar either:)
Oh his smile just melts my heart! He’s one of those kids that would have me all figured out as a teacher. And congrats to JDaddy as well – awesome!
He is cute! I’m glad that he had a great birthday!
He is so, so handsome, and that photo of all three of them together is definitely a keeper.
I purposely clicked so I could watch the video! *sigh* I’ll come back, I promise. He is very handsome and has lost his chubby cheeks and baby fat that he had when I first started following you. Wow, so is he in kinder next year?!
He is a cutie!!! Happy 5th Birthday, Buster!
