Say Cheese!

It’s only Wednesday right? I say that because this week has been a bit rough. Luke must be going through a growth spurt. When he’s not eating, he’s sleeping, and he’d prefer to be held while sleeping…of course. My day consists of feeding, holding, stealthily laying him in his crib, getting 20 minutes (maybe) to try and do something productive (like go to the bathroom!), hold him until it’s time to eat again, and then Lather. Rinse. Repeat.

Yesterday was particularly rough. There was bed wetting, a broken zipper, a microwave that broke, and an extremely fussy baby.

But you know what gets me through the rough times right now? Knowing that I’m going back to work in a week.

Ha. I’m kidding.

What gets me through the rough times right now is Luke’s smile. He just started smiling on purpose. And when he smiles, his whole face lights up and his eyes get big and wonky (crossed) and it just makes me smile.

I took this picture on my phone and it’s a good thing because I can look at it anytime I need to (which might be a lot right now!)
