Ten Things to Smile About: October

in 10 Things to Smile About

It’s been a long time since I’ve done a “Ten Things to Smile About”, but I think sometimes I need to just remember how many wonderful things/people I have in my life, so it’s about time for another one.

1.  Good parent-teacher conferences, with compliments about both Jack and Nick from their teachers.

2. Jack scored his first goal of this season and he was so happy. It’s also awesome to hear other parents comment about how much he hustles while on the ice and how he has a good “head” when it comes to hockey.

3. Nick being selected as “reader of the month” from his classroom.

4. Goofy smiles from Luke.

5. Halloween decorations.

6. Yummy Boss’s Day treats from my staff.

7. Toothless grins

8. Funny quips from kids, such as this gem (you might not understand if you aren’t familiar with the Detroit Tigers:

Jack: did you know that when Prince Fielder was a kid he hit home runs in Comerica (Tiger Stadium). Why doesn’t he do it now?

9.  Two new recipes that turned out awesome.

10. Excellent work-related conferences at amazing locations on Lake Michigan.

Oh that would be a pretty place to have a work conference at. Love love the “bouquet” you got, it has my favorite reese’s! So awesome Jack scored a goal! I can ice-skate but yea that is about it :) The toothless grins are always so fun.

Thank you so much for linking up!!

It sounds like you had a great month!

I think that I’d like to stay in that hotel too… right now would be perfect with all the fall color.

Ok I need some employees to get that bouquet. I love baby faces and toothless grins. Congrats on the great hockey player and good school reports.

Sounds like a fantastic month! I would love to hear about the successful recipes- what were they?? Also, just love the baby smiles in the crib. I’m still trying to convince my 1 year old that he likes his crib…
